Home / About the Awards
Now in their 8th year, the YCN Student Awards exist to unearth and showcase emerging creative excellence. Based around a collection of live creative briefs; the awards are supported by the many Universities, Colleges and Art & Design Schools across the UK.
This year's live briefs present challenges ranging from raising awareness of what a browser is for Google, to making a film of your perfect day. The YCN Student Awards are also open to anyone not studying, but not working professionally in a creative department or agency.

The deadline for submitting work in response to the briefs is March 26th 2010. All those Commended will receive special A Awards fashioned from rubber to double up as erasers (perfect for rubbing out ideas, to make room for others).
Commended submissions are showcased as part of a summer show in London, and at the 2010 event a ceremony will be held with A awards presented in person. Our Annual publication also celebrates all Commended entrants, and is distributed across the creative industries internationally.
All of this year's briefs, and all else needed to take part in the YCN Student Awards can be found here.
